Appearance: Blonde, shaggy, tousled hair, under which piercing blue eyes peer out. Mattieu has a toned body, which he keeps in shape. Chiselled features and a roguish grin make him handsome, but he is not purely d'Angeline given his tendency to sport stubble. He also exudes a particular musky scent that seems to affect those around him in a pleasant way, making them feel calm and relaxed and drawn to him.
Personality: Kind and compassionate, with a ready smile and boyish charm, he has the ability to lighten the mood in almost any occasion. Occasionally though, he experiences mild depression and will hide himself away until he overcomes it. It never lasts long and he usually emerges as bright and cheerful as before. Mattieu is a loving and giving man, readily able and willing to make every patron feel that they are loved, even though he still feels that lack himself. In fact he has a tendency to be a little bit clingy, due to his history of not knowing where he came from or who his parents were.
History: Mattieu never knew his parents, he was left at Heliotrope as a foundling and brought up in their care. He didn't want to leave the only place he thought of as home and worked hard to ensure he wouldn't be placed elsewhere and was initiated as a Heliotrope adept at the required age. He was an avid and bright student who excelled in his classes but occasionally what can only be described as a melancholy episode would strike him and he would shut himself away for a day or two before coming out and acting like nothing happened. The Dowayne theorised that it was because that he was pining for his unknown family and resolved to find out more on his behalf..unfortunately all her enquiries met dead ends and she could not give him what he needed. The only thing she could discover was that his parents were possibly from the Siovale province.
In the meantime, Mattieu grew up to be an excellent adept, always satisfying his patrons and never letting his inner disquiet enter any of his assignations. The Dowayne thought that the reason he was such a good Heliotrope adept was because of his unknown past. He wanted to mean something to somebody and so gave his all to every patron.
He completed his marque recently but still resides at Heliotrope.
