Appearance: Nixie is tall, blonde and fit in ways only a warrior can be. She is always dressed in leathers and fur, even if the weather doesn’t call for such a thing. Her blue eyes hold an innocence that even she doesn’t understand, though when confronted with a fight or intrigue, she has a cold stare that would cause even the people of the cold tundra she hails from to shiver.

Personality: Having found herself in all manner of situations, Nixie finds herself always on alert and mistrusting of those around her. Only when she learns and gets to know them does she let her cold heart thaw, though it takes a good deal of time with her new responsibilities. She is also awkward and unsure in her new role as Jarl, and it shows when she is confronted with the political side of her role. Her innocence shows in all number of social situations, as she is still learning who she is on her own and no longer under the Vandalii.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Nixie is a fierce fighter and is not one to shy away from a fight when it is called for. She is, however, still a new fawn when it comes to politics and the workings of someone who is considered a noble.

Nixie currently has no family, and no NPCs are needed for her, but ideas are always welcome.

History:
Growing up as an only child to one of the most revered fighters of the tribe, Nixie could only be describe as a peer of a realm with no such structure. Her father grudgingly taught her to survive, taught her how to hunt, and made her learn self-sufficiency, only to throw her out into the cold at the age of 16. To her fortune, she became the perfect candidate for becoming a handmaiden for Sifreya and thus, she spent the rest of her years in service, not knowing she would grow to have a friendship with the woman.
Her “charge” is the only person to ever crack the wall that Nixie has so forcefully put up since her father’s disdain with his only child being a girl. Nixie shares her wants and desires with her openly, even going so far as to ask for advice on what she could do to look better, or how to be more graceful. The two have found a rather unique way of dealing with each other, and as a result, theirs is a friendship that will span and last a life time.

Actual Name: Nixie Akseldottir

History: The real story behind Nixie is somewhat tragic and heartbreaking, if only because of her father's motives (even if they are less grand then those of the more "civilized" cultures of the world). Nixie was born to one of the many women her father bedded, and was the only offspring he was able to produce. Though in truth she is a bastard child, his acceptance of her has made her nobility in the eyes of the courts around the world. It doesn't explain why she has kept her identity hidden all these years.

What does is her father's behavior around her from the time of her birth, and the secret motives he has had since day one. Having taken on the responsibility of raising the woman on her own, her mother cast aside to "whore about", Aksel did his best to keep his distance from his daughter. For all that he wanted to love her, he also needed to make her a strong willed Skaldi woman, unlike any other. From the time she was four years of age, he taught her how to fight, survive, and ultimately, become her own woman in the world of men.

Little did he know she would succeed in more ways than he could imagine. He cast her out as a final test, to be sure she would be the key to his own success. He had designed her in her raising, to be the ultimate weapon of human power, needing her to use every trick up her sleeve to ensure he would be made ruler of the Suevi. She had done this and then some, he would soon find out. Now, he is on for his human weapon, seeking to marry her off and use her to gain the power he so desires.

Having no idea of anything her father had planned, Nixie is convinced that her father cast her out, disowning her and leaving her to the wolves, as it were. Her stubbornness is the reason she has been able to survive. Her fear is what keeps her from telling anyone the truth of whom she is. She had thought to do it once, when she first entered the service of the Jarl of the Vandalii, but with her relationship to Sifreya being so unique, she refuses to put the information on the table. If she should, it could start a war she could never hope to recover from, and it would loose her a friendship she has come too close to loosing once before.

Update: December 19, 2018
Having fought her way to the top, killing her father and taking his crown, Nixie now is the Jarl of the Suevi. The rumors of her marrying a d'Angiline noble were false, and proved to be such when said noble came home without a Skaldi bride. Instead, he was there to support her as her blood brother, watching as she fought for her title.

Within the tribe, there are mixed reviews about her becoming the Jarl, but no one will challenge her at this time, as she seeks things that neither the Jarl of the Vandalii nor Erik, their current overall leader want.

Now, she finds herself in the land of the angels, looking for guidance and peace.
