Appearance: Ferris looks much more like his father than his mother. Shaggy brown hair hangs to chin length, and the beginnings of a beard darken his cheeks. His skin tone is somewhere between the milky white of his mother and the darker skin of the Cullach Gorrym (the Black Boar). His eyes are a dark brown, watchful and wary, with pain and weariness in their dark depths. He has many scars on his body, a testament to his warrior-ways.
Personality: Ferris is a haunted man, who takes time to consider before he speaks. He takes his duty to his people and his future position very seriously, eschewing personal relationships over the duty of ruling his country. He has a temper, which can turn into a beserker's rage which both terrifies him and exhilarates him. However, as much as he prefers action over discourse, he does try to find a peaceful solution before bringing arms to bear.

History: Ferris’s first real defining moment came with the death of his father, Kinadius mab Kerys, during the civil unrest when he was defending the Cruarch. Ferris took it very hard, and swore he would avenge both his father and his uncle. Though peace settled over the land, a small quarrel years later became much larger when a clan-lord of the Eidlach Òr (the Gold Hind of the south) boasted of killing the old Cruarch and his honour guard. The rumour made it to Ferris, and he rode off alone in the night. He returned three days later, still spattered with blood. He had gone into a berserker’s rage, and killed eight men, including the clan-lord. He was fifteen.
The act cast a shadow in Ferris’s eyes as he struggled to learn how to govern the isle. He had little concentration for books, and would have much preferred to be out hunting or sparring, though he was careful not to fight without many strong witnesses to hold him down should he lose control, given his past. His memories rested so heavily on him that his cousin suggested he travel to Terre d'Ange, and try to learn about a side of himself that was not so black. After much thought, Ferris agreed.
His time in Terre d'Ange was well spent. Ferris met many of the d'Angeline nobles, including the Courcel family, his kin. Slowly he began to push past the shadows of his past, to learn himself and come to terms with how to deal with the grief he felt for the acts he'd committed. When he returned home, it was with peace in his heart, and a lightness in his step. He was not home long however - when Queen Coretta called for help against the invading Carthaginian army, Ferris gathered his warriors and went back to the land of the angels, helping Terre d'Ange retain its sovereignty.
Now he travels back and forth, ruling Alba with a firm and (he hopes) fair hand, and maintaining the good ties and relationship with his D'Angeline kin.
