Character Avatar: David Garrett
Character Name: Spiridon Volkov
Age: 39 (4/9/81)
Race: Vralian
Country/Province: Vralia/Elua
Rank: Foreign Peer
Player: Janet
Appearance: A strong-featured man with dark, intense chocolate brown eyes which are both passionate and warm and framed by thick lashes. His strong jaw, shadowed by thick stubble, lends a ruggedness to his countenance. Standing at just over 6 foot, Spiridon has a well-toned body, lean yet muscular and wears his dirty-blonde hair shoulder-length, sometimes hanging free, other times tied back with a strip of leather.
Personality: Head strong and passionate about his music, Spiridon is a big believer in following the heart wherever it may lead. He's opinionated and not afraid of voicing his opinions wherever he is and regardless of who he is talking to. His passion is his music and his violin, named Yasnost' (Clarity/Serenity), is the love of his life. He never goes anywhere without it. When he plays his violin, it is almost as if he goes into another world that consists of just him, his violin and the music.
History: Born into a wealthy merchant's family, he was brought up with a view to taking over the family business when his father wished to retire. When he was eight, Spiridon was given a violin for his birthday and fell in love with it. Shrieks and screeches soon melded into beautiful arias and jaunty melodies and he and his violin went everywhere together. For his family's part, Spiri's love of his violin and the music it brought was viewed almost indulgently. For them it was his hobby and nothing more, obviously he would grow out of it and take over the family business in due course. Spiridon had other ideas.
A few blazing rows over the next few years followed with Spiridon arguing that he had no interest in the family business and would never do so, whilst his father argued that it was his duty and it was what he was born to do. Finally, after one blazing row too many, Spiridon left home, took naught but his violin, and went seeking his fortune. He has now just arrived in Elua, hoping that this city will be the making of him. All he wants to do is play his violin and will work hard to do so.
