Character Name: Emmanuelle Beaumont (nickname: Emmie)
Age: 35 [28/3/1989]
Race: D'angeline
Country/Province: L'Agnace
Rank: Citizen
Player: Janet
Appearance/Personality: Emmie's brunette locks cascade down past her shoulders, framing a pretty oval face. Her hazel eyes sparkle with joy and her generous mouth is often curved in a wide smile. Her features are perfectly proportioned, with a peaches and cream complexion, and those sparkling eyes are framed by long dark lashes. Emmie's figure is slender and petite (5'1) with small breasts and narrow hips, but she's chock full of vibrant joyous energy that belies her small frame.

Always one to try and find the bright side in any situation, Emmie has been likened to a ray of sunshine, breezing into people's lives and cheering people up, seemingly without effort. There is something about her inner joy that shines outwards, giving her a glowing complexion, bright eyes and beaming smile. Her movements are bouncy and vivacious and it seems that nothing gets her down. She is empathetic, kind of heart, generous of spirit. In short it would seem that she is perfect.
However, Emmie has a tendency to latch on to people. If she likes or loves them and they make her feel good, then she will endeavour to stay with them. Her father, for instance, dotes on her and she on him, so she stays at home, taking care of him like a miniature mother. In this regard, Emmie is older than her years suggest.

Her mothering tendencies are such that she has gained employment tutoring young children their letters and numbers and treats each and every one of them as her own. Unfortunately, she does not know when to stop mothering and so her friends and relatives often find themselves being mothered by the diminutive woman. She'll tut and pick up after them, fuss over injuries, gently scold people for being out without a scarf and coat in cold weather and generally act as if they are six as opposed to a fully grown adult. Yet, no-one seems to mind over much, and even the largest, roughest man ends up standing still and enduring her fussing, however embarrassed he might feel about it.
History: Emile, Emmie's father, was a Priest of Eisheth, who tended to and fell in love with a young woman by the name of Sara. The feeling was mutual, as Sara loved Emile's passion for the healing arts, loved his kind and gentle nature and so helped him in his work, readily giving up her own life of relative luxury as a minor nobleman's daughter to travel with Emile and tend to those who could not reach a temple of Eisheth themselves. Their living was poor and rough, as they gave away most of what they possessed in order to help those that were less fortunate. Poor they may have been in wealth, but they were rich in love and they spread that love wherever they went. In due course, Sara and Emile married and lit their candle and shortly thereafter Sara found she was with child. Their son, Valere, was born happy and healthy and they began to settle down in a small village on the outskirts of l'Agnace, neither of them wanting to travel so much now that they had a babe to tend. Emile began to specialise in helping people to manage their grief, and in counselling those that had suffered great losses. Sara still looked after those that visited her, often with her son by her side. A few years later the family was blessed with a daughter, Emmanuelle, small in stature but large in personality. The family grew together, beloved by those surrounding them, and loving each other fiercely. Valere, from a young age, was fascinated with the healing arts and assisted his mother and father whenever he was allowed. Emmie, on the other hand, was always taken with the crying infants and toddlers and could always be found hushing a fractious child or cuddling a little one whilst her mother bandaged a hurt of one sort or another.
Tragedy befell the family when Emmie was nine, Sara had been nursing a sick child for weeks on end, night and day, and her dutiful dedication paid off - the child survived, much to the joy of everyone involved. However, Sara was much weakened by her diligence and so became easily susceptible to illness herself. She succumbed to pneumonia that winter, despite Emile's best efforts to save her. The family mourned together, but in time, they healed and managed to move on. Emile decided to stay based in the home they'd created, but now that the children were older, he was open to travelling again. A few years later, Emile received a missive from one of his friends, Clement Bertrand, also a Priest of Eisheth. Tragedy had befallen his family and he all but begged Emile to come and counsel his two young nephews, the two Princes de Somerville. Emile could not turn him down and so packed himself and his children up and hastened to the Bertrand estate. There he found two grieving boys and did his best to comfort them, and in this he found his two children valuable. Valere, being of an age with Iulus was quick to befriend him and Emmie found herself comforting Aeneas in his grief.
The rapport between the offspring was such that the family found themselves making frequent visits to the Bertrand estates over the next few years, until the elder de Somerville brother took his rightful place as the Somerville heir. A few more visits took place, then Valere announced his intention to follow in his father's footsteps and become an acolyte of Eisheth. Emile and Emmie continued to visit the young men, Emmie enjoying Aeneas' company whilst he enjoyed hers. As time went on, the visits lessened and the families went their separate ways. Emmie blossomed into a vivacious young woman. Kind, gentle, and loving and soon found herself employment teaching young children. It was a job she loved to distraction. At first she started with a neighbour's child, then a few more joined, until she was teaching a small class of eight to ten little ones of varying ages. The youngest child she taught was around five and the eldest, ten. Emmie still lives with her father, in their home village though she occasionally visits the big city for a change of scene, when she is taking a break from teaching.
