Appearance: Libertin has striking blue-green eyes. His hair is a very dark blond that will gain some light highlights if he spends a lot of time in the sun. He also has a noticeable v-shaped hairline and a dimple in his chin. He has a classic cupid's bow mouth and has perfected his friendly/flirty smile. He stays trim, but focuses more on appearing warm and inviting verse especially cut or muscular.
Personality: Libertin is warm and caring. He took Balm's message to heart, having lived there from his birth until his early 30s. He truly cares for his art and it shows in his care for both is friends and clients. He will see the good before the bad and has many friends. If you need a shoulder to cry on his is there. He is also very outgoing, there isn't a cell in his body that knows how to feel embarrassed. He is very comfortable with himself and with those around him.
He does have a bit of a quirk, one that he's learned to accept and embrace. Libertin he is fascinated with those who find pleasure in pain. He doesn't cause pain in the form of play, but he enjoys helping them heal. He was always the first to volunteer when a Balm adept was needed to visit Mandrake or Valerian. He continues to offer healing for those who enjoy that particular flavor of Naamah's art.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths: Libertin is content with his life and has accepted himself for who he is. He's charming and caring, which makes it easy for him to find and make friends. The thing that could be his biggest weakness, but is less so in Terre d'Ange, is probably how much he lets his phallus think for him. Though Libertin is happy to perform his services for anyone, he really loves spending his free time with pretty men. He'll flirt with any who show him the hint of interest, for good or ill. He enjoys indulging in drink and/or opium on occasion, but those are less common for him. Mostly it's when it's suggested by someone he's attracted to.

History: Libertin was born to a Balm Adept named Meline. His mother stayed with him until he was weened and then went back to her service with Naamah. He grew up with the other fosterlings and many kind and attentive adults. He had a lot of siblings in the other adepts. His mother visited him until she fell in love with a man from Aragonia and moved there to be with him.
Libertin was still a child, but he wished her well. The other caretakers were as much his parent as she was since she let them take over a lot of those duties for her. Libertin doesn't know who his biological father, but stopped caring about that when he was still small. Libertin was raised with care and love, that is all he needed.
Libertin was taught the healing arts from a young age and Balm's other arts as he grew of age. When he was close to his 16th natal a Valerian adept was brought into the House, having suffered from a rather brutal lashing. The older adepts still in training were brought in to watch and learn. As he watched the adept he realized that they were enjoying the mending. The mix of pain and pleasure that the adept felt while the wound was being sewn intrigued Libertin. The the cries that she gave at the first needle sent a strange chill up Libertin's spine that he didn't completely understand at the time.
Libertin questioned adepts from Mandrake and Valerian about their house and what happened in the assignation chambers. He always found the tales intriguing, but when he was younger he didn't feel the urge to take part. He was still Balm at heart and wanted to heal. Libertin never tried to keep his interests secret. Some of the adepts around him frowned on them, but he was never forbidden to ask questions or help with healing after a violent assignation. His continued to be a studious Balm who truly put his heart into his work and his interests were seen as a quirk.
As he got older his interests were seen as an asset. He was happy to help with those particular injuries and the Balm adepts who were more squeamish about them could call for him to replace them.
Libertin is close to the end of his marque and will soon be free of his Balm requirements. He has no plans on moving on elsewhere but the freedom has only heightened his interests in the art of pain and pleasure. Though Libertin enjoys rough romps as well as gentle, he is still not drawn into actually participating in something a little more serious. Instead he prefers to just watch and heal the results of such assignations after.
Almost marqued and slightly confused Libertin does his best to keep his mind in Balm and be the best adept that he can be.
Update 1: Libertin is now fully marqued but will stay on at Balm House until they kick him out.
Update 2: After more than fifteen years as an adept Libertin has finally decided to move out of Balm and open his own Salon. He was motivated by the upcoming birthday of his dear friend and lover Noe, but he also wanted someplace where he had more control to just do what he wants. With his long history and not a lot of things to spend his money on, he had more than enough to purchase a old Salon and make it his own.
Now he is the proud owner of The Sweet Satyr. He is the sole employee and it is for those who specifically want to see him. He is still performing all of the duties that one would expect from a Balm adept, but is hoping to specialize more in healing those who lean more masochists. He is not so picky that he won't see other Patrons though. He does prefer men, but again, if it's to honor Naamah, he'll happily schedule time with people of any gender.
