Country/Providence: City of Eula

Appearance: Kiew is tall and willowy. She has strong Ch'in features in her face with almond shaped eyes and a small dainty mouth. Her hair and skin complexion comes from her half d'Angeline mother. Kiew has dark blonde hair with brownish undertones and a lighter skin complextion. Her eyes are a warm brown. The one feature that seems to come from neither line is her height, Kiew's d'Angeline blood shows mostly through her height, a even 6ft.
Personality: Kiew has a personality that keeps people guessing. At times she can be quiet and reserved, sitting in the back and just listening. At other times she is the loud one, making jokes and enjoying the attention of others. She seems the most true to who she is when tumbling, her whole self being lost in the act, as if a priest at prayer to their favorite god. At times Kiew can be moody and seem as if she is searching for something or as if she wishes she was elsewhere.

History: Kiew was born from a Cruithne mother, who was half d'Angeline, and a Ch'in father. They meet each other while in transit through the City of Eula. Kiew's mother, Sorcha was searching for her father and possible half siblings, Kenichi was traveling as a sport fighter. They meet each other in the city at a pub in the Night's Doorstep and the rest was history. Sorcha and Kenichi seemed made for each other even if they came from two different parts of the known world. After a very short courtship, which was spent mostly in bed, Sorcha and Kenichi married in Terre d'Ange and went back to Eire. Kenichi did not have was not close with his family in Ch'in. He was happy to adopt his wife's culture and they soon tried for a baby.
The couple only had one child and were happy with that. They loved their little girl deeply. It did not take long for them to realize that she would not have much of a place in Eire. She looked more Ch'in than than anything else. The young kids and some of the adults found her strange. With memories of the city in which they meet, they moved back to the City of Eula. Kiew's mother sold herbs in a small stand and her husband joined in fights for sport, making money for some of the money houses in Night's Doorstep.
As Kiew grew it was apparent that she preferred her father's sport over her mother's love of nature and herbs. Kiew proved to be a agile child and picked up her father's lessons quickly. Even though her mother sensed a touch from the Maghuin Dhonn she allowed her daughter to pursue her real interest. She took time to teach her some of the gifts, but the only thing that Kiew really picked up on was summoning the Twilight. Even then she could not hold onto it but for a few minutes.
As Kiew grew so did her interest in her father's art. Kiew's parents did not really wanted a daughter who's greatest dream was to fight. They spent many sleepless nights talking about their plight before finally deciding to see if she could find a home in Eglantine as a tumbler. At 10 she was taken and the Dowayne was happy to see a child who had already mastered many of the skills needed, thanks to her father's training. She had some exotic features, but the Dowayne felt these would only make her unique and sought after. It was then that Sorcha and Kenichi let their only daughter adopt a new home. They stayed in Terre d'Ange, however, and continued to visit their child as she grew and blossomed at Eglantine.

Kiew was able to pick up the skills taught to the tumblers at Eglantine without too much trouble. Her reflexes almost seemed magical. She never seemed to slip or fall and completed her training without any injury. Her skills and features gave the house a generous offering on her debut and she did well as an adept. Her features were prized by some while unattractive to others. Enough patrons found her alluring that Kiew was able to complete her marque not long after she turned 21.
When Kiew was 16, less than a week after her debut, she came across the La Signoria del Notte owned by the Majia DiNiro. She felt drawn to the shop and it's owner. It was then she started an unofficial tutelage under Majia, learning arts that her mother had not told her about. Kiew became fascinated by the darker arts and would visit Majia whenever she could get away from Eglantine. She was unable to visit on a regular basis while earning her marque, but that changed once it was complete, though she was still careful since she did not want Eglantine to know of her other interests. The Majia DiNiro was skilled with Drujani magic and not that of the Maghuin Dhonn, so Kiew was limited. However, experimenting with magic, even that not of her own, helped her to grow in her own abilities. She was finally able to hide herself in the Twilight for a decent amount of time. While doing so she also discovered that she could touch the spirit world. She saw the good and the evil, at times it frightened her. She could leave them, though, they never seemed to have the ability to follow her out of the Twilight. Kiew's abilities stayed specific though, she was never able to truly span into the Majia's area. Sure, Kiew could mix potions, but she found no interest in that. In her mind it was a skill anyone could learn. After some time Kiew felt that the Majia could not teach her anything further and she started to visit less and less until the Majia became a character of her past.

Kiew is a skilled Eglantine tumbler first and everything else second, for now. She is more nimble than most and still has never had an injury. She does seem to have a uncanny ability to disappear from boring events and sometimes seems to know things about others that she should not. Kiew doesn't know if she will ever discover any other skills, but she does enjoy the edge that her limited selection gives her. For now she is going to enjoy her young adulthood, running around Mont Nuit when time allows and causing trouble, but only when she knows she'll get away with it.
