Appearance/Personality: All Night Court adepts are exemplary embodiments of physical beauty, and Sacha is no different in that regard. He is tall and sculpted, as he keeps his physique well maintained, with flawless pale skin that tans prettily after a little time in the sun. His face is somewhat boyish still, but the softness of childhood has faded to reveal a strong, masculine bone structure - a long, straight nose, high cheekbones, a firm jaw and slightly dimpled chin.

His hair is dark, almost pitch, from his enviably thick eyelashes to the short mop of coarse curls atop his head. Beneath the eloquent sweep of his brows, Sacha's watery grey gaze is soulful, and the perpetual pout of his lips lends a sensual note to even the most stern expressions. A boon for the young man, as he wears such expressions often in his role as a Mandrake.
While Sacha is perfectly capable of being the strict taskmaster, the harshly dominant lover, he honestly isn't particularly sadistic... that is to say that he doesn't truly enjoy making others suffer, not that he has no taste at all for his work. Rather he understands and empathises with the needs of those that seek the sort of release that Mandrake offers. Sacha is a kind, gentle, and deeply caring man, and it is that which motivates his service to others.

History: Sacha's origins are not especially remarkable. His mother, Anne Jeune, comes from a long line of Night Court adepts who have served in various different houses. It did come as somewhat of a surprise when Mandrake took an interest in her as a young girl, but her family was supportive and proud nonetheless. She was happy there and did well, if not so outstandingly as to make a name for herself outside of a small circle, and eventually fell in love with her housemate, Nero nó Mandrake. Unlike Anne, he had been raised there, son of a Mandrake mother and a Heliotrope father.
Their union was a sanctioned one, blessed by the Dowayne, and in time the pair were married. By mutual agreement, they remained at Mandrake, both as active servants and to do their part in teaching other adepts. As is the natural progression of such things, after awhile they were blessed with a child. Named for a notable relative, they welcomed Sacheverell into the world.
Little Sacha was always a sweet boy, and for a time his place at Mandrake House was not assured, but his devotion to Kushiel and the ease with which he understood the deeper meaning of their service -that they did not hurt others simply for delight in their pain, suffering, obedience and such, but to fulfill their patrons' desire and need for it- convinced Ignace he was fit to stay. In another life he might have found himself placed in some other, gentler house. Balm, perhaps.

Despite what one might think of as a contrary nature, he fared well in his parents' house. Got along well with his peers, excelled in his lessons, and was eager to prove himself. One point of contention in his otherwise good-natured demeanor is the matter of his name - or rather, his full name. Sacheverell. He is not particularly fond of it, and can be surly when the subject comes up. Which is why he almost always goes by Sacha, or sometimes Chev to those who know him well enough.
When the time came for Sacha's debut he was as nervous and excited as any young adept, but acquitted himself with grace and the appearance, at least, of confidence. He learned much about himself that night. About desire and control and what it means to serve both Naamah and Kushiel. Since then, he has been studious and attentive, trying to learn how he can best fulfill his patrons' needs.
At times he is uncertain that he really is meant for Mandrake, as he does not take the cruel delight in it that some of his housemates do... but Sacha does take satisfaction in freeing his patrons of expectation and constraint. Allowing them to revel in that loss of control. If nothing else, he has been conditioned to find pleasure while inflicting domination and pain. The truth is that he is young, and still discovering who he is and what he truly desires.
