Appearance: Juliane's most striking feature are her eyes, sometimes blue, sometimes green, sometimes a mixture of both - changing with the light, or her clothing, or even her mood. Her hair is a soft blonde and she has a peaches and cream complexion. Other than her eyes, she has a rather unremarkable look - still pretty of course, but not enough to really stand out in a crowd.
Personality: Juliane is smarter than she looks and she knows and plays on that. Many a Patron has found themselves on the wrong side of that sweet looking innocence as she won game after game. She is definitely more than a pretty face. Beating Patrons at games only affords her some small satisfaction, though. She yearns for something more, something to really wrap her brain around, and has grown restless with the restrictions of the Night Court.

History: A fosterling at the Night Court, having been dumped by a woman that did not want her, Juliane grew up in Eglantine not knowing who her parents were, or whether she had siblings. She made many friends and was well liked before the Dowayne decided that her sharp mind and ability to think fast and on her feet would be better suited to Bryony, especially since she had a lack of notable talent in the arts. A meeting was arranged and Bryony's Dowayne agreed with the assessment.
So, at the age of ten, Juliane left her old friends behind and moved to Bryony. There, once she had settled in and got over the loss of her friends, she flourished. The Dowaynes' instincts having proved correct. She devoured mathematical probabilities easily and only had to be taught Rules to a game once - twice at the most - before she had them memorised. Her debut price was reasonable and she began her life as a servant of Naamah with pleasure. Her sweet and innocent looks tended to lure Patrons into a false sense of security, even though they should have known what to expect having contracted a Bryony.
A year or two after her debut, Juliane began to feel a little restless, chafing at the restrictions that the Night Court had placed on her. Though she still loved serving Naamah, she craved something more exciting. That soon arrived in the form of an offer from one Armand de St Croix. For one reason or another he took a liking to her and eventually it was arranged that he would pay off the rest of her marque and she would move in with him. Juliane decided to remain an Independent Servant of Naamah, both because she loved serving, and to cover her bases if things didn't work out with Armand.
