Country Home Request:Duchey de Avignon in Camlach > Boarder Duchy to Skaldi lands. Maintained as peacefully as possible by the well trained citizens of Avignon.
Appearance: Veronique has thick brown hair with natural loose waves and deep brown eyes. She has a strong and serious looking face that seems as if it was made to command. The corners of her mouth naturally turn down, giving to the illusion. She has a sweet smile that will light up her face and show that she does have a warm side.
Personality: Veronique is what one would expect from a daughter of a Camlach Duchess. She knows how to be a leader and take charge if the need arrives. She is not easily frightened and will hold her own if faced with challenge or danger. She is also a woman with all of the passions one would expect from someone only halfway through their 20s. She knows that life and peace can sometimes be short lived and she enjoys both to the fullest. She hates to sit idle and will fill any free time afforded to her with her favorite hobbies, exploring nature and animal husbandry. She loves the usual animals that one would expect from a noble woman, but she also loves those that creep and crawl like spiders and snakes. History: Veronique was the second born and last child of Varian and Vitalia Delafosse. When she was still just a toddler her father was killed and her mother took over as Baroness. Within a year the young Veronique had a live in woman that was somewhat like a grandmother, though a very stern grandmother who wasn't one to give a lot of hugs and kisses. The old woman only lived with the family for a couple of years before old age took a hold of her. Though Grandmother Constance was not a warm woman, Veronique had learned to love her as much as her mother had and the death put a stain on her childhood. She learned at a young age that life could be short, though she could not really remember her father's passing.
Vitalia was a very straight forward woman. The family took some time to grieve, but her kids were of an age to learn the skills they would need for life and she quickly had them to task. She hired tutors to teach her children reading, math, and other skills that noble children would need to function fully as grown peers. She had her Captains train both of her children in the art of sword play and archery. They grew up in a world where the tension between Skaldi and Terre d'Ange was very real. Living on the border meant they would need to know how to defend themselves, not rely soley on the skill of others. Veronique and Vian were not busy with their tutors or combat skills Vitalia kept them on her heels, learning the vast lands of the Duchy and how to manage the political side of their lives.

Though she kept her children well employed Vitalia was not all work and no play. She was there to praise her children's every accomplishment and she would make sure they had a short holiday once every few months to relax and enjoy themselves. She loved her kids fiercely and they knew it. The also knew that she expected them to be well behaved.
Though Veronique may have had less to time play than other children, she still had a childhood that was happier more often than not. She easily learned the information and skills that her mother wanted her to have. She knew her mother was proud of her and she basked in that pride. Other adults were impressed by her as well and remarked as much, adding to the girl's confidence as she grew.
When she was 8 years old Veronique and her brother went to foster with the d'Aiglemorts for four years. Their family was larger and she enjoyed the noise and the chaos that came with an addition of 5 temporary brothers (at least until one was sent off to become a Casseline) and little sister thrilled her and she absorbed every moment of her time there, even as she fiercely missed her mother.
At 12 she returned home with her brother and the d'Aiglemort children. Their reunion with their mother was a grand affair and all of the d'Aiglemort children joined in with the lessons that Veronique and her brother were expected to return to once they were home. Since she was a young teen now Veronique was given more leave to travel around her family's estate inbetween lessons. It was during this time that she developed the love for exploration and her fascination with the creatures that roamed freely through her mother's lands. During one of these trips she found a small bat, no bigger than her palm, that had managed to damage one of it's wings. She brought it home (under much protest) and the small creature survived. It was a juvenile when she found it, a pale gray bat that grew darker as it aged. It lived off of a diet of bugs and Veronique was able to keep the creature alive for some time, letting it live curled up in a pouch that she wore around her neck.
When Veronique was 18 the Skaldi war broke out. Her brother was sent to fight with the Duchy Avignon's General. Veronique was not going to be left idle and she was given the role of messenger, running a few family horses ragged in-between the boarder and her mother's fortress. Even though there were a few close calls and Veronique's small pocket bat didn't survive the ordeal, she fell in love with the rush of it all. She kept her mother informed of what was happening on the front line, to include how her brother was doing. She also delivered orders from her mother and the Crown when they came. She survived the Skaldi side of the war, but stayed home when the fighting moved to Carthage, helping her mother take stock of the damage and occasionally joined in boarder patrols as an extra abled body.

After the two wars were over and a tentative peace was created between Terre d'Ange and the Skaldi tribes life settled back down at the Basilisque household. The d'Aiglemort children returned to their home and Veronique started to consider her future. After a few years of peace she grew restless and her mother decided to send her and Varian to Tiberium to study among the great scholars for a few years. Veronique was allowed to choose what she learned as long as she spent some time learning about logic and politics. She did so and also took classes in natural history and philosophy. She also had the time to truly try her hand at romance and while she had a few short lived affairs Veronique didn't find anyone that she wanted to leave her family for.
Fresh from Tiberium Veronique has traveled to the City of Eula to play in the games of love of politics that take place in the center point of Terre d'Ange.
