Character Avatar: Cheyenne Jackson
Player:Desdemona
Character Name: Pasque Lavet (he rarely uses his last name, mostly going by just Pasque)
Age: 38
Birthday: 25th of Dec
Height: 6' 3"
Rank/Title: Citizen
Race: d'Angeline
Country/Province: Unattached, he roams at will
Townhome Request: East Borough > Woodlawn Glen > Le Petite Château > Home of Pasque Lavet. It is a small rental house that is mostly bare except for a few pieces of furniture and a trunk of clothes. The outside is neat, but there is nothing overly ornate.
Appearance: Pasque is tall hand hansom in a rugged sort of way. He has dark brown hair that is almost black, which he keeps short. He has dark facial hair which will get scruffy if he doesnt' shave it after a day or two. If he's busy he'll let it grow a little, but he never grows it long. His eyes are a bright blue which stand out with his dark hair. He has a strong jaw and face that most find appealing. His most notable feature is his strong bow-shaped lips, more defined than most men. He is on the taller side, standing at 6'3". He stays toned, the body of one that has spent his life staying fit, but for practical purposes, not for physical vanity.
Personality: Pasque is a drifter and lives a life of his own choosing. He is generally friendly to those around him, but does not open up about himself very much. He is often out, drifting around the streets of Terre d'Ange looking for odd jobs. He is willing to do almost anything, though he does have some limits if it involves death or harm to someone who may be innocent. He doesn't have very many close relationships, but he loves surrounding himself with people and is known at some places as a welcomed friendly face, but one that hides behind a well built wall.

Additional Information
Marital Status: Single
Known Languages: d'Angeline
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths: He's reserved and has a lot of self control, which allows him to live the life of a drifter and still enjoy some level of luxury instead of poverty. He is also in excellent physical condition and is very good self-defense, which is also very helpful when you've lived many years as a drifter.
Weakness: He's prone to melancholy at times and lacks any deep relationships. When people try to get too close he often pushes them away. He goes through phases when he wants to right all of the wrongs and will defend any innocent human, and then he'll flip flop and not care about anyone. The second of these moods are followed by guilt and are the usual trigger for his depression, though it's not the only one.
Family Members/Important NPCs:
Biological Mother: Marquisette Austre Rheynute (NPC)
Biological Father: Theudebald Lavet (Deceased-NPC)
History: Pasque spent his early childhood as a ward of the Rheynute Marquis. He lived in the Marquis' castle and attended classes with the other noble children. His room was a nice one and he lived among the other fostered noble children. For the most part he felt as if he was one of them. He was only truly reminded of his orphaned status when the Lord and Lady would visit their children and check on their progress. The Lady of the house would ask him how he was doing and she seemed to really care about him. The Lord might give him a curt greeting, but he ignored him for the most part. The other fostered children would occasionally have their parents visit as well, but no one ever came to visit Pasque. He was alone in the world.
He also had no idea what happened to his parents. The story being that he was found in a basket on one of the Castle's community tables after a large feast. The infant's parents no where to be found. The Noble Lady felt sorry for the young mewling infant and took him in.
When Pasque was 10 he was told that he would be sent to train with the Cassiline Brotherhood. It would give him a place in life and livelihood since he could not be a ward forever. Before he left he was simply known as Pasque. When he arrived at the Cassiel Temple that would be his home, he became Pasque de Daugna, taking on the name of the prefect as tradition warranted. It was also the first time that had a surname. Pasque spent the first 6 months of his training introducing himself as Pasque de Daugna as often as he could, excited to feel like he belonged somewhere.
He did well as a Cassiline in training. He learned everything quickly and put all of his effort into being the best Cassiline Brother that he could be. He had dreams of one day being a guard for the Queen of Terre d'Ange. As he grew he knew that his chances for that assignment would be small, but it did not dampen his love for the tenets of the Brotherhood and the love of his Cassiline family.
When his training was complete Pasque was giving a station within a few weeks of earning his signature twin daggers, though it was not with the Queen. Instead he was assigned to follow around a Viscomtesse who loved to travel to foreign countries. Her husband preferred to stay home and Pasque's presence meant that he could worry less about his wife's safety. Pasque swore his oath and for five years he followed around the Viscomtesse Picory.

When Pasque was 25 the Rheynute family came to stay with the Picory family to deal with some political matters regarding a Comte that they both were unhappy with. The Rheynute Marquis had not kept track of Pasque once he had left for the Brotherhood and had no idea where he had ended up. The 25 year old Pasque looked very different from the 10 year old Pasque and the Marquis did not pay him much attention or recognize him. The Marquisette, however, knew exactly who he was. He did not look like his 10 year old self, but he did look a lot like his father.
Pasque was excited to see the family, though he maintained his stoic Cassaline self while the families were talking. When business was done and he was dismissed for the night Pasque went to the Rheynute's borrowed rooms to say hi to his old family. He expected to be greeted with warmth, but that is not at all what happened. The Marquis finally recognized him and he was given a curt, "I hope you are well," and sent along his way. He left confused and hurt. As he walked down the halls away from their rooms a servant ran up and told him that the Marquisette would meet him in the garden in a few hours, after her husband had fallen asleep. This confused Pasque even more, but he simply thanked the servant and waited in the garden for his childhood benefactor.
When Austre Rheynute finally made her appearance she greeted Pasque with hugs and tears. It was then that Pasque finally learned who he really was. He was her child, born of a secret affair between her and her Cassaline guard. Before Pasque was born Austre and the Cassaline Theudebald Lavet had started an affair within days of his first arrival to the Castle. The two meet eyes and there was a undeniable spark between them. They were very careful and may have never been caught if Austre handed turned up pregnant during a time when her husband had been away for almost a year. She had told her husband that it was due to a ill-timed visit from a Servant of Naamah, but rumors had started and none of the servants had recalled seeing such a visit. Eventually she confessed and Theudebald was declared anathema and sent away by both the Rheynute Marquis and the Brotherhood.

The Marquis bid his wife to keep everything as quiet as possible, and she was sent away to a hunting cabin to have the baby in secret. She stayed in the cabin with her infant son Pasque for 6 months before she missed the rest of her family enough to return. She demanded that Pasque stay and grow up with his half siblings, but allowed her husband to call him a orphaned ward of the household. She had felt bad for the life that she had given the child so she had agreed with the decision to let him unknowningly follow his father's footsteps. It was also a relief of sorts, not to have him around all of the time reminding her of her mistakes. She has missed him after he had left, but she thought that he would do well. She had written to the Brotherhood when he first went, asking about his status, but over the years the letters and grown fewer and then stopped. She had still thought about him and still prayed for his safety every time she made homage to the gods. She, unfortunately, did not know what came of Pasque's father since she could not communicate with him if she wanted to keep her marriage. She had followed all of the rumors and thought he had ended up in a small town on the boards of the Rheynute Marquisat.
When the sun started to rise Pasque's mother gave him another long hug and a kiss on the forehead before slipping him a heavy bag of coin. She could not declare him her son by noble rights, but she could at least give him something. The bag contained all of the gold coin that she could muster at the last minuet and a ring that she had always kept with him. It was a ring that Theudebald had always worn and had left for her when he departed their holdings for good. She had always carried it with her, but felt that Pasque deserved it more than she did. Then his mother was gone and he was once again alone and without a family.
Pasque tried to return to his life as the Picory's Cassaline, but he had no focus. Thoughts of his childhood and what was revealed to him haunted him constantly. Even though the Viscountess was not likely to be a target for anything more dangerous than thieves during her travels, Pasque could not by good conscious stay in her service. So, it was with a heavy heart that he requested his assignment ended and that the Picory's send him back to the Cassaline Brotherhood. They did so and gifted him a fine horse and another, albeit smaller, bag of gold when he left.
Upon his return to the Brotherhood Pasque tried to find out everything he could about his father. It had been 25 years since he'd served as a Cassaline, but some of the older priests remembered him. His father was a charismatic and head strong Cassaline. He had came from a noble family from Azzalle. No one knew if he had returned to his family after his departure from the Brotherhood, however. If Pasque had wanted to, he could have stayed a Cassaline. He had never committed the sins of his parents and he had always proven to be a studious student and priest. Pasque knew he wouldn't be happy if he didn't try to find out more, so he was given his leave, but told that he could return if he wished.
After leaving Pasque decided to track down his father. He still went by the name Pasque de Daugna. The gold given to him by his mother and the noble family he had served would keep him sheltered and fed for some time as long as he was careful. His Cassaline training made self control easy for him and he went through his money slowly. He maintained his vows of celibacy in case he wanted to return to the Brotherhood after he found his father. His parents had caused a lot of heartache and difficulty with their decisions and he would not follow in their footsteps on that regard.
Pasque had decided to follow the rumors that his mother had heard and in doing so he was able to find his father after 2 years. The man had indeed moved to a small farm outside of the Rheynute Marquisat. He had found work as a farm hand and had not done anything else, hoping that he'd hear some word about the child he never met. There were rumors of a illegitimate child living in the Rheynute household, but he never heard anything further. Only a very small number of people knew who he actually was and Pasque had happened upon one of them and listened to stories of his father as he filled the bellies of two farmers with ale. They repeated stories of a charasmatic and head-strong man, but one that also liked to drink too much and was depressed over a love and a child that he would never have. One night he drank himself into a depressed stupor and was found the next morning hanging from a rafter.
Pasque lived in the small farming village for a few months, lending a hand in the harvest so he could stretch his gold even further. He asked for stories about Theudebald from everyone he meet, but eventually the stories ran dry and Pasque found that farming was far too monotonous of a job for him. Eventually he left the small town and after he did he dropped the name Daugna and started calling himself Pasque Lavet.
He was 27 when he left and had no connections to anyone. Even though he had been happy with the Brotherhood, he decided that he could not go back. He was finding a sense of peace in his freedom. He could be who and what he wanted.

Pasque was intelligent enough to know that he couldn't travel the world on his bag of gold for the rest of his life. So, he traveled to The City of Eula and made some investments, giving him a small but steady income. He also continued to work odd jobs so he would have money to spend on things outside of basic survival.
Pasque has lived on his own and unattached from anyone or anything since leaving the small farming town that his father had died in. He has maintained his Cassaline training and has on occasion served as a guard for merchants and other travelers that do not have the means to hire on a Cassaline. Though it is usually apparent where he has learned his training, Pasque never offers himself as a Cassaline, only as a man who knows how to defend himself and others. He has also taken on basic labor jobs of countless sorts and eventually gave up his celibacy, though he still does not bed others very often. He enjoys the moment but his years of Cassaline training means that he often feels bad about it after. He has played escort twice, where he haphazardly performed Naamah's service, but it's his least favorite job and he only takes it if he's far from his income in The City of Eula and really short on money.
Though he is of noble blood, Pasque has never made any claims to it and he tells no one. He is simply a wondering d'Angeline, free to do as he pleases.
