Appearance: Although Satoru is half d'Angeline, it is his Nipponese heritage that has dictated his physical make-up. He stands at a tall 6'2, with proud, angular features. One might say that he looks severe, certainly his resting expression doesn't put one in mind of friendliness, but when he smiles - and he smiles often - his whole face lights up and radiates joy.

Long dark hair hangs to his waist - which he's very proud of - and his body and face is also covered with dark coarse hair. He started growing facial hair at a relatively young age and it became too much trouble to shave as often as required to remain smooth-skinned, so he now sports a well-trimmed beard instead. It does make him look a good deal older than his actual age, but he doesn't mind that.

His eyes are a deep brown, and can be unfocussed or bright and sharp, depending on his mood and where he is in his creative process.
Personality: Saturo is generally a happy soul, and never happier than when in the 'creative zone' or surrounded by people. He's very affable -which belies the resting expression on his face- and is often the first to approach new people and make friends.

He is very proud of both sides of his heritage and of his creations - and he does not take slights to either well. Constructive criticism he will take on board, but if he believes he's being given criticism for criticism's sake, or just downright rude remarks, that will quickly earn his ire.

History: Pierre-Antoine was hired to attend a party, and dance for the guests - little did he realise that the contract would change his life completely, albeit not immediately. When mingling, after his performance, he came across a young married couple that hailed from the Empire of the Sun. Ryo and Osamu were visiting Terre D'Ange as part of a tour they'd undertaken, having left their home to explore the world. Being ever friendly, Pierre-Antoine introduced himself and tried to get to know the couple, curious as to their origins.
They did not speak much D'Angeline themselves, and Pierre-Antoine had no knowledge of their language, but there was an interpreter with them who was able to facilitate a conversation. The couple had been quite taken by Pierre-Antoine's performance and expressed their wonder and joy at it - he was, of course, delighted by such praise. After a while, Pierre-Antoine moved on to mingle with others. When the party ended, Pierre-Antoine went about his business, happy to have made an acquaintance with such an unusual (to him) couple.
Some days later, he found himself summoned to the Dowayne's office once more. He was surprised, and pleased, to find the young Nipponese couple there wanting to contract him to dance for them. He was delighted to accept and this began the start of a firm friendship between the three - since the couple had decided to stay in Terre D'Ange, having fallen in love with the land and its people. Over time, the friendship became something much more. So much, that Pierre-Antoine eventually left Eglantine in order to become their consort and move in with them.
Not too long after Pierre-Antoine moved in, Ryo fell pregnant and bore a healthy son. They named him Satoru, and the three doted on him. In time, the three of them welcomed a daughter, too. The two children were brought up learning both languages - all three of the adults having learned the other tongue from their partner - and both heritages. The family had some difficulties - coming from such different backgrounds, but with time, love, patience, and communication they made it work.
Satoru grew up a tall and reasonably happy child, and creative with it. He was also fascinated with his father's tales of the Night Court and in due course was asked if he'd like to Serve. The answer was a resounding and decisive 'Yes'. With his happy nature, he could have easily moved to Orchis, but he wanted to try for his father's House. To the family's relief and delight, Satoru was accepted into Eglantine - the Dowayne realising that the child's fledgling creativity could be nurtured into something much more, and so it proved.
The young child developed a talent for art and poetry, and his penmanship and calligraphy impressed his tutors. When he made his debut at sixteen, it was for a modest price and whilst Satoru was never a House favourite, he established a regular patronage with those that loved his art and poetry - often he found himself commissioned to write love letters and poems for crushes and spouses - and there has been more than one couple that have his muse to thank for a rekindled spark. When he made his marque, he opted to stay Serving Naamah, enjoying the life he's built for himself.
