Character Avatar: Elsa Hosk
Player: Delenn
Character Name: Geneviève nó Mandrake
Age: 16
Birthday: July 3
Height: 5'3"
Rank/Title: Adept
Race: D'Angeline
Marital Status: Single
Known Languages: D'Angeline
Appearance/Personality: Slight in build, with fine white blond hair and dark rimmed blue eyes, Geneviève is a classic angelic beauty. Physically, she is strong for her size due to her vigorous activities at Mandrake House. However, this does not detract in anyway from her gently curving figure. Full breasts and lips with a soft natural blush complete the picture. But underneath it all she has a backbone of steel and an equally steely determination to match. No matter how she is dressed she always wears one, if not both, of a set of specially made silver filigree finger topper style rings on the first one or two fingers of her right hand. They cover only the top joint of her fingers and extend to a sharp point just at the tip of her always perfectly manicured long, nails.
Jeni, as she likes to be called by her friends, is compassionate and caring toward her patrons. Loving them for their yielding in blood and sweat drenched pleasure, the kind only one with Mandrake House skills can give. She will often enjoy caring for patrons as they cling to her afterwards and the pleasure slowly fades, bathing their wounds and steadying them before allowing them to be escorted away. She honestly enjoys her life and duties at Mandrake House. There is little she doesn't employ with her patrons, but her favorite tools usually involve the use of flechettes and other steel implements. In her mind they match her personality. Polished and beautiful, they have the ability to slice a person and leave them bleeding without the person becoming instantly aware of it. They can be warmed, if held close enough, or become cold if left to sit to long, and harsh if outright neglected. Warmed, they are silky smooth but cool they cut with mechanical and painful precision. Warm and cold, soft and hard, Jeni, and her steel, are exactly what people make of them.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Geneviève can be pushed to the point of being so cold, that her coldness can be brutal. Although, not usually in the ways one expects. She is quite capable of freezing someone out while also shredding them to the core. She is also not above revenge if wronged and will even seek out the darker arts that are whispered about in the city to get it. Although, more often than not she simply deals out more advanced versions of her old "practical jokes".
Family Members/Important NPCs: Her mother is Isabella nó Valerian. Fully marqued, she has chosen to stay within Valerian House for the foreseeable future. Her father is unknown.
History: Jeni was born into the Night Court to her mother Isabella nó Valerian, 2 years after her mother made her marque. Wanting only a child to love and care for, Isabella asked the Dowayne for permission to light her candle. This was granted and after a few months Isabella found that she was expecting. During her 9 months she did not see patrons but instead lived off the savings she had. The Dowayne was pleased to have a child of Isabella's to raise, imagining the delicate beauty and fair colouring of the mother would be found in the child.
They were not disappointed. Geneviève was as fair and delicate as they had hoped but as she grew it became rapidly apparent that she took after her nameless father, rather than conforming to the precepts of Valerian House.
It wasn't that she was malicious, but as she grew she would tease and torment the whole house. She loved the reaction she got from her practical jokes, that almost always brought with them a hint of pain. Things like putting tacks in chair cushions, and tripping up older adepts as they hurried through the halls became what she was known for. She would of course be punished for these acts but she always took her punishment stoically. And then would be back to tormenting the adepts the next day. It soon became apparent that Geneviève would not yield.
By her tenth birthday plans had already been made to have her marque transferred to Mandrake House. The Mandrake Dowayne was pleased to get such a classic beauty who seemed to fit into the household with ease. Once she began to study the arts of pleasure and pain, Jeni's practical joking stopped, all that energy spent toward learning what it was she was really craving. Jeni also made friends easily among the other adepts and was a bright spot in a House that otherwise seemed saturated with an inviting darkness. At Mandrake they understood her and taught her to develop and refine that core of steel she carried within. They helped her grow it into patience, so that she could wait and draw out her patron's desires until they pleaded for the release they craved.
A little over six months ago, with a rumoured reputation for a love of blades, she turned 16 and made her debut. She had fetched a healthy virgin price for Mandrake House from a high ranking noble. In fact, she was such a success that night that her patron gave her a gift in addition to her regular patron gift. A pair of silver filigree finger rings that she had used so effectively, that stopped between the top two knuckles of her fingers. On the bottom they were simply two silver bands that left the pads of her fingers bare. But on the top and sides was the ornate silver work that tapered to incredibly sharp points over her nails. She would have to grow her own nails out to match the length but otherwise they had fit her perfectly.
He had been a bit older, perhaps in his late 50's, and he had liked blades. Of all kinds. But especially these small finger blades he had given her. He did not say where he had gotten them, or to whom they had once belonged, but only smiled when she asked and said how pleased he was they fit. Then he showed her how to use them to draw his pleasure out to an exquisite peak. He had come to her then, with blood and passion to pierce her for the first time. She had dug the small nails into his shoulder as he did and together they found pleasure in their shared pain. Afterward, it turned out he had only a small patron gift to offer but he gave her the rings to keep. He promised to see her again.
A few months later she received a small purse of silver and letter from him saying how sorry he was but that when she got this he would be gone. He had not had much left but Jeni had been his last taste of earthly pleasures before illness had taken him. He had known it was coming and he was glad that Genevèive had been his choice. It has struck a deep chord within her and now she never is seen without the rings.
It's been six months now, and her own nails have grown and been tapered to the rings' shape exactly and are a source of pride for her. She had taken regular patrons since her debut and most who could, had returned. So now the first few inches of her marque has begun the slow journey up her spine.
